Process analysis of the Centre of Information and Library Services of the University of Economics, Prague

Theme of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the processes inside the library of the University of economics. The first part is dedicated to the definition of the goals of the thesis and to the theory of the company processes. The text interprets the term of information literacy and information education and links these terms with the procedural analysis. The thesis introduces the library and identified processes for optimalization. In the second part, the identified processes are analyzed and described in the EPC notation. The thesis describes five processes and their sub-processes. The first process is the educational program, the next process is the cooperation between the university teachers and the library. Another process is the the control of the plagiarism and the use of electronical sources and thesis in the education. The last described process is the feedback from the users. The conclusion summarises the thesis and is coupled with the recommendation about the optimalization of the described processes. The goal of the thesis is to optimalize the defined processes of the informational education in the library and to improve the quality of them, so they can effectively aid the goals of the library, but also to improve the information literacy of the students.

Whole spectrum of possibilities is opening for companies during the time of expansion information and communication technologies. These possibilities could help companies to be more effective. The Market offer more than one solution of each problem but each solution has different cost and functionality. These facts are reasons why importance of consulting and analytical work has been growing. We need type people, who solve the intellectual, terminological and ideological misunderstanding between producer and customer Department where I work and write my bachelor thesis has problems and thus has room for improvement. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the problems and come up with the spectrum of possibilities that solves them. I use my theoretic knowledge from university and my practical experience from work during analysis. At first I want to describe department`s environment and then the processes. After the description I will be able to identify critical places and propose their optimization. Processes analyse of international financial institution

The final thesis is focused on a process management in praxes. The theoretical part of thesis concludes different techniques of mapping and analysing of a process. The practical part is focused on a practical analyse and mapping of the certain process in international financial institution. On the base of the process analyse are suggested changes to optimize the process.
